The Napa Valley Symphony League presents Art Strings - Opus 2.

A fundraiser benefiting the Napa Valley Symphony, Art Strings is the blending of the music, visual arts, and wine communities of the Napa Valley. It is a new and creative project launched by the Napa Valley Symphony League in 2004 as Art Strings - Opus 1. Ten full-size violins were transformed into elegant works of art by noted West Coast artists and were offered to the public in a silent auction.

In 2005, Art Strings - Opus 2 selected the following well-known Napa Valley artists to perform their magic: Gail Chase-Bien, Kathy Crowley, Michael Holmes, Diane Brisbois Peterson, Peri Pfenninger, Sally Rosenbaum, Suzy Sansom, Clay Seibert, Gayle Weisfield, and Beverly Wilson. Art Strings - Opus 2 commenced with an Art Strings Stroll on September 9 in the gardens of a lovely Napa Tuscan home. Guests previewed the violins and met the artists while they enjoyed great Napa Valley wine and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, and were entertained by talented, young local musicians. From September 10 through November 6 Art Strings will tour the Valley, accompanied by League members who will sell raffle tickets and notecards. The tour will begin at the Napa Town Center, move on to several prestigious wineries, and finish its tour at the Lincoln Theater. Winning ticket holders will be announced at the Symphony's first classical concert on November 6, 2005.
